Greece
We are going on a cruise in July. There are three days with no planned activities. Each day we are on a different island in Greece Mykonos, Rhodes, and Santorini.
Any suggestions on what to do while there?

Re: Greece
when your in Santorini I suggest you take LOTS of pictures with the BEAUTIFUL mountain of houses.
I look at my pictures and I want to go back to take more pictures. They look so awesome.
We ate in this one restaurant that overlooked the water it was sooo beautiful.
Other than walking threw the town and taking pictures and eating that is all we did.
The trip down back to the boat-you will have 3 choices: Walking down hundreds of steps, taking the donkey down those stairs or going down the airlift which takes you only 3 minutes I heard.
We walked , next time I think I might want to try the donkey-I just did not want the smell of donkey on me that is why I didn't do it
It is definently a beautiful island to take millions of pictures of... and the statues they have-I have a picture of this one beautiful angel statue...........
What more can I say its just beautiful
Have fun and bring lots of film and a video camera

Re: Greece
DH and I went to Santorini last year. Not much to do there other than walk around and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. There's also the red beach and the black beach. I wasn't crazy about any of the shopping there; it's mostly crappy souvenirs and over-priced jewelry, although we did find a really nice (but expensive) pottery shop. We also went to one of the vineyards (I think it was called Santo) but we just missed the tour. We did get to sample some wines which I didn't really care for.
Here's the view from our balcony in Santorini
Have fun!!!!

Re: Greece
Santorini was romantic very relaxing...we sat by the pool and ate a lot! LOL
We rented a car for a couple of days and toured the island - we stayed in Oia and visited Fira...stopped at a couple of wineries - hit a few beaches.
Some pics from our hotel (Katikies)...
Red beach
