opinions please...
Hey all!
Af is late. I'm not super sure how late because I don't keep track but late nonetheless. Yesterday I had some very light spotting on and off and that's gone now. I have had numerous negative HPT"s. Do you have any opinions of what might be going on?
TIA for any help.

It is very possible that you are just skipping a period. Unfortunately, I have just started skipping periods when before, I was very regular. Wait a week, and if the HPT are still negative, give you dr a call and see how they want to proceed.
Just so you know, it is possible to skip a period if you didn't ovulate. Traveling, stress, things like that can cause a skipped ovulation which can result in a skipped period.

Well, when a person doesn't track their ovulation, it's hard to know if they are 'officially" late. You can't measure a cycle by exact days or a calendar, as people once believed you could. Ovulation can change every cycle. Stress is a big factor and just our wacky endocrine systems. Spotting, can be a sign of implantation, it can also be a sign of hormonal battle. For instance, lack of progesterone, too much estrogen. When was your last AF ? How long are your usual cycles ?

I honestly think its Af starting for you....Implantation spotting would occur at a max around 10 days past Ovulation.
Since you "think" your very late, Im going on speculation that your cycles are normally around the same length. It sounds like you Ovulated late and are having a late period.
I sometimes get spotting for like one day, and then it stops and I get AF offically about 1-4 days later.

I'm pretty sure the last time Af visited was on or very close to July 6th. My cycle is about 30 days. That would make me about 12 days late I think. I just don't know what to make of it. The spotting had stopped yesterday and then late this afternoon started a little again and now seems to have stopped. I guess I will just have to wait until my doctor's appointment on Wednesday. Thanks so much for all of your help.

I said the max is "Around" ...yes it can occue late , but not thast much later and that would be unusual

Have you been stressed this month? It's possible that you O'd really late this month, and it would explain why AF isn't in yet.
