For those who haven't announced their pregnancy
Is it hard for you? I am afraid to talk to my friends because I feel like I would blurt out, "I'm Pregnant"... but its so early! I can't even think about announcing it to anyone other than my immediate family.

When I first found out I was pg I only told immediately family and 2 of my closest friends. It was very hard not to say anything to the others, because I wanted to share this wonderful news with the world.

I felt the same way, Almost everyone knew at 8 weeks! I couldn't keep it a secret!

first time around, we told everyone right away. Then we lost it.
Second time around, we told my dad and sister right away, then 2 weeks later we sent flowers to the moms for mother's day telling them. Then we started telling friends around 10-12 weeks.

We told immediate family right away - we told cousins, aunt and uncles - after we saw the heartbeat - told friends at 11-12 weeks and told my job at 14 weeks....
Im so glad now that everyone knows!

I am not telling anyone before the first trimester ends, besides my 2 closest friends. I will probably tell them a week or to the end of the trimester. But I feel so isolated. I am so greatful for this board so that I can shout it from the rooftops. My sister just had a baby so its good- I can talk to her and my mom. I can't wait for the first trimester to end!!!

I am in the same position , and it KILLS me to keep this new to myself.. my Mom does not even know, I just want to see my doctor first and make sure all is OK before getting her too excited!
But outside of my parents and my inlaws (who I will tell next week once I see my OBGYN) I am not planning to tell ANYONE else until after the first trimester is over.. its going to be the hardest few weeks EVER!
So far, I have not told ANYONE except my BIL/SIL , who I knew would keep the secret.. and , of course, I told the wonderful ladies on this board.. THANK GOD for this board or else I would be dying keeping this secret for so long!

I wanted to keep it a secret, and DH wanted to tell the world.
We told immediate family right away, friends around 8-9 weeks, and my work about 10-11 weeks.
