It was determined today that my pg was ectopic & got my shot of Methotrexate...
They saw that it implanted in my left fallopian tube. They say its rare that it implanted there with IVF. Oh well I guess this one wanted to joy ride further than the uterus.
They gave me a Methotrexate shot & said in about 3 days I should feel cramping/adominal pain. If any of you guys had this can you tell me what your experience was with it?
They are going to monitor my blood now make sure the levels drop. I actually have an appt. on Thanksgiving!
I'm just going to take it easy for the next month. My FET is expected to take place sometime in January. I can't wait.
DH and I are planning to get away not sure where but we need a break from all this.

Im so sorry to hear this news Sweetie. You are so strong. Your words convey that....I hope you can have a Great Thanksgiving somehow....And I agree going away sounds like just what you need to get ready to start the FET after the holidays.

I had a shot of methatrexate for my ectopic too
I was fine at first but a few days later I was nauseous (ok, when am I not  ), had semi heavy bleeding and cramps. Kind of like a bad AF...
We were actually on vacation too...
Hope its not too bad

I am so so sorry. I went through this after an IUI in August. I received 2 methotrexate shots. It only made me very tired and very emotional.
My levels were not that high, so I didn't have any horrible cramps or bleeding. I just got a normal AF about 2 weeks after the shot.
I hope you have the same experience.

Getting away and taking a break until your FET in January sounds like a good idea.

I had methotrexate about 1 year ago. The night i had it i had some cramping and passed some tissue(cramps were pretty intense for about 15 minutes.) I bled for 1 month had two days off and then got AF. Hope it goes well for you!
