I just have to share this - because it made me cry
My best friend (and oldest friend in the world) just had her 2nd baby 8 weeks ago... She isn't planning on having any more children. She knows we are having problems and she just told me this morning that if we can't get PG, that she will carry our baby for us!!! I started bawling my eyes out like a little girl...it was just so touching, it meant so much.

Kathy - I am crying as I am reading your post. That is so touching, you have a really great friend, but as a previous poster said - Hopefully you NEVER have to take her up on that offer - cause you are going to get an BFP real soon!!

Kathy you are lucky to have a friend like that... and no you won't need her uterus.
As I say... a uterus is like an umbrella -- if you have it (working fine), you won't need it but if you don't.....it will pour!
Did that make sense??

That is so sweet. My sister told me that if she didn't get bedridden and violently ill all 9 mos (she has hyperemisis), that she would do the same for me. Too bad one of my other sisters wouldn't offer!

What a sweet gesture from your friend. Sometimes, just knowing there are "options" helps tremendously. I doubt you will ever need it but it is always nice to know it's there.

What a wonderful friend! If those not related to you love you that much, I can only imagine what a wonderful mother you will be! Hopefully knowing that she is willing to do that will take a little pressure off of you. Good Luck!

That is so sweet.
I remember when my cousin went through h e l l about 8-12 years ago trying to conceive whiel her two SIL's were conceiving like rabbits. I was in my early and mid twenties but I really felt her pain at family gatherings... twice she ran out of the room crying hysterically and spent the entire holiday upstairs in my aunts room. I do remember wanting so much to do something for her. I even thought of donating my eggs or carrying (never knew what her issue was) for her. Before I could she announced that she was adopting from Korea. I'm not sure if I could back then being umarried and teaching in Catholic school I may have lost my job.
