Re: Where did you book your cruise?

What cruiseline are you trying to book?

I use www.bestpricecruises.com - so does my family. They have the best prices around for the cruises I have booked.

Now having said that - it depends on what cruiseline you want. RCCL and Celebrity have a "no discount" policy - well SORT of. They do for 99% of the people. BUT they do allow discounting through their "key" account companies. Also some companies buy goup cabins - so you could book a group rate.

Carnival - I believe allows discounting but has a "no advertised discounting" policy. So you have to call around. I believe NCL is also following this policy.

I got the best rate for my princess cruise through www.bestpricecruises.com - I got 30 quotes from various places and they were the cheapest by about $100 per person.

I would suggest calling the cruiseline for a base price then check out as many places as possible (there is a site called cruise compete which allows many of the major online sites to offer quotes with no obligation). But make sure you call as you will often get a better rate than listed on line (or an opportunity to get a group rate).

Re: Where did you book your cruise?

There is a website called cruisecompete.com. If you know where you want to go and when they will get you quotes from the different discount places. We used them to book our cruise to Alaska and saved $400 pp.

I just booked mine directly through Carnival. I got quotes from 4 different websites and they were all the same price.

I just came back from my third Royal Caribbean cruise. I haven't been on any other cruise lines, but RC is great! I booked directly with them on the phone. Any questions you can FM me!

So far Vacationtogo.com and cruise compete has the best deal for when we want to go.

be careful with who you use on cruise compete some companies on there are more reliable than others! Just check out who you go with (I have gotten wrong quotes from cruise compete before - make sure that the quote you get is including ALL port charges and taxes - as a number of online places will quote you a great price then when you go to book it they then include the tax and port charges (just something to watch for.)
