Re: need to vent - relationship strain?

we've have our fair share of fights on this topic and we've only just begun. i'm sorry you feel this way. for us, i backed off a little bc it was really making him not want to try at all and we've both been much happier.

Same here....I feed my obsession here. My DH wants to just enjoy our time together it let it happen when it happens. And I want that too....except I can't help it...so I do all of my research and questions here and at home I make my move on him when I need toChat Icon

Re: need to vent - relationship strain?

YES YES YES
During the 1st two weeks of the month we are happy and normal then the BD week comes and we fight so bad over the littlest things and then during the 2WW we are just tense. I think its totally normal but it still stinks! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: need to vent - relationship strain?

There is strain. It stinks. There is less romance when all BD is calculated and sometimes choreographed with legs in the air and on walls and whatnot. Sexy huh?

Personally, I dont think you should be so hard on yourself. Sometimes, they(men) just dont get it the same way we do.

As much as our husbands want to be fathers, (and they REALLY do) it is an entirely different ballgame when you are a woman. I have said this before and I will say it again. We are conditioned from a very young age to be mothers. We push baby carriages and walk around with "dollies" to play house with. I just think it isnt the same for men. They are conditioned to play ball and roughhouse. I wouldn't fault them for it either.

I also think that sometimes men arent always conscious of the "science" behind TTC until and unless things arent happening as easily as they'd like. They educate themselves differently than we do. The odds are that you wont see them reading TCYOF as early as we might. MAYBE they will leaf through a porno mag or MAXIM and that may be as good as it gets.

I think its very normal. Mine doesn't want to know anything... tells me to do everything I want to, but, doesn't want to know about it. Just to tell him when and where... Chat Icon

Re: need to vent - relationship strain?

We had an argument yesterday about whether I have a right to be mad at God over our ttc issues.

I am angry that there are BFPs all around us (I have 5 pregnant friends!), all of whom who were trying after us. Sometimes I get into the "why me" thing and I need to throw myself a pity party, which he can't handle. While others announce their pregnancies, I announce appointments for fertility testing.

Then there is the argument caused by my negative attitude and stress over ttc, which doesn't help things either.

It has been a raw emotional week in my house. Need the weekend, a nap and some spiked egg nog.
