yeah, we have one of those. But she's the pet, so nothing ever becomes of it. I swear, she uses up all of her vacation time on sick days....but then goes on vacation ANYWAY!  I could never get away w/ that.

How long has she worked there? IS this a habit or has she just had a run of bad luck and health lately? Also, do you know if perhaps she has a serious medical condition?

You would of loved a girl at my old job that use to have HER MOTHER call in sick for her. I quickly put an end to that. I was very up front with her telling her that we are no longer in High School and that you don't have your mother call in sick for you at a job. I could not believe the craziness that was allowed there before i came in to manage the place. People will try and try to get away with as much as they can until they are spoken too. I have learned that in all of my years of experience.

Ah yes...we have one of those. He always manages to call out sick when either the boss is out or it's a three day weekend.

We had one of those... operative word, HAD.
This guy would always call in sick on Fridays.... like 6 of them within 3 months. They kept giving him enough rope to hang himself, and finally "laid him off".

We "HAD" one too and she got fired, my boss is nice but not stupid. This girl was a total mess.
