Re: I feel tired all the time.
could it be that you are not receiving enough vitamins or nutrition? like developing anemia cause of low iron or something?
you should head to the doctor and explain your symptons and have them do some blood work to see if you are low. perhaps you need some iron pills or a daily vitamin supplement.

Re: I feel tired all the time.
I feel the same way, and I was asking all of my close friends and they all seem to feel the same way during the winter months too. I think it's a body hibernation phase, or maybe a bit of Seasonal Affective Disorder. I have one friend who sleeps nearly 12 hours a night from Jan-March! I'm the exact same as you though--6 hours sleep, can't fall asleep in bed, exhausted all the time and falling asleep at work. I've been tested and my bloodwork is fine, so I think it's a winter thing.

Re: I feel tired all the time.
I definitely get like that during the winter; it's like when the sun goes to bed, so do I. But you might want to check with your doctor. It could be solved with something as simple as a vitamin supplement. Good luck!

Re: I feel tired all the time.
I think you need more sleep! I could never, ever survive on 6 hours! Power naps are good, but are you really getting quality rest in your car? I would try going to bed a little earlier. I also feel tired all of the time and am going to see a dr. about it next week.

Re: I feel tired all the time.
You're probably not getting enough sleep!
There was a point a couple of months before my wedding that I was feeling so run down and tired all the time, no matter how much sleep I got. Everyone told me it was stress from wedding planning. I knew something wasn't right so I went to the doctor. Turned out I had mono. So its definitely worth checking out, although I know I could never function on 6hrs of sleep a night!

Re: I feel tired all the time.
your description of your feelings are identical to my co-worker. She found out her thyroid was underactive, and she was tired all the time, but could nto fall asleep when she went to sleep, etc.
I would go have blood drawn.
Feel better!

Re: I feel tired all the time.
I would REALLY try to get more sleep for a few weeks and see if it helps. I can not function on 6 hours sleep AT ALL! I need more like 7-8 and if I get less then 7 a few nights in a row I end up needing to catch up big time when I finally get the chance.
Also, do you take vitamins? You can take I think it's B12 for extra energy. Some of the girls at my job do this and swear by it but I haven't tried it yet.
I would try to sneak in more sleep for a few weeks and see if it helps, and if not talk to your doctor about it!

Re: I feel tired all the time.
It might have to do with your diet. What do you eat on a daily basis?

Re: I feel tired all the time.
I was going to say... this sounds like me too, and I have a thyroid condition. Mention it to your doctor the next time you're there because it's easy to fix with synthroid, and there's no reason to feel so tired all the time. It's a miserable experience.

I agree it can be your thyroid-the same thing happen to me a few years ago. But-it can also be that you are just not getting enough sleep everynight! Good Luck
