I hate it. I usually get defensive and will start typing and ignore the co-worker. I HATE when people come into my cube! Chat Icon

I can't believe how people can be like that....talk about being nosey and not professional.......Chat Icon
I'd approach them and let them know that they are invading into my privacy and that is something I will not tolerate. And the way that I'd say it would not leave them without any questions or doubts (and I'd do this professionally as well) as to never come my datebook again or any of my personal space for that matter.

Re: How do you handle co-workers who invade your personal space?

I would close the date book and minimize my windows whenever she came into my cube.

And if that doesn't work I'd point blank say "I'm uncomfortable when you go into my date book, if you are looking for my availability I would prefer you just ask me."

And that should get the point across.

How would you handle a coworker who steps into your VERY tiny cubicle, and actually peers into your datebook? The datebook is used both for work things AND personal things...

Whenever anyone invades my space or conversation.. I turn around and say you need to pump those brakes of yours....Slow your role

That's hysterical! The breaking point was that she told someone else to look in my datebook. After I told this guy that I'm not available for his appointment, he was dumb enough to say "V told me to look in your datebook" Chat Icon Chat Icon

I hide everything. I don't have a cubicle, but a little work space and the communal printer is right behind me. So, everying either gets taken or they peer over my shoulder to read my screen.

SO, I'M ON LIW, AN WHAAA MOFO? Chat Icon

I would do something like this!!!!!!

But seriously I just ignore them - that is so freakin rude. Just the other day my new boss opened my overhead cabinet where I keep my personal things. I gave her a "we dont do that here" look.
