Thanks. I just called the dr's office & I have to come in for a pg test & other lab work on Mon or Wed & then they'll schedule the prenatal visit.
Is anyone familiar with the concept of being 2 weeks along at the time of conception?
They count it from the time of your last period because "technically" your body is preparing already for the pregnancy.

I thought its strange too - but the reasoning is that you measure your pregnancy from your last period - since you usually ovulate about 11-14 days after your last period, where you would get pregnant, thats where those 2 weeks are coming from.... I think it doesnt really make sense, but they must do that for some reason!

Congrats..I've only heard that they measure from the time of your last period..but hey, if you know when you conceived you should let the doctor know and maybe they could be more accurate in your due date

tell the doctor when you get your first sonogram - they will probably adjust the due date at that visit, since the embryo will be measuring 2 weeks smaller than if you ovulated 14 days after your last menstrual cycle.

Im just wondering... why were you taking OPK's and stopping BCP if you werent planning on getting preggo?
