09/10 winter baby birthdays...what are we all doing?
DD was born on Dec. 15th and being that it's holiday season....I feel like i need to figure out what the heck i am doing for her 1st b-day. I have no idea! i am totally clueless. I feel like I don't even know who gets invited to a first birthday....i list in insane between family and friends and its getting a little out of control.
Then i need to figure out where.
What is everyone else thinking? Having a party at my house is not an option....plus I definitely do NOT want to deal with cleaning up afterwards.
Any ideas?
What are you planning on doing for entertainment?
I am at a loss...please help.

We decided not to have an official party since we just had a huge Christening party.
I'm going to have a cake with close family instead.

Hello.
Lara is having a small party. Were having it at our house and "Santa" will be coming her real bday is 12/19/10 but we are having the party the beginning of December so its not to close to Christmas. As favors Santa is giving out toys to all of the kids.
Things are kind of tight right now for us so were not going to hire entertainment. We figure the kids can entertain themselves

We are not Christening her until next year....probably in April....and it will be really tiny...so I figured I would have a bigger 1st birthday. Plus we are greek and italian...all of our crazy family members want to celebrate with her...and I would want our friends there too...and their kids! I'm going to have to put the kabash on this ridiculous list.
Jenn...sounds like such a cute idea! I can't believe we are planning b-day parties for our babies already

Re: 09/10 winter baby birthdays...what are we all doing?
Zoe will be turning 1 on Dec 18th. Like you, I have no idea what I am doing. I had a nice backyard party for DD#1's 1st birthday (10/6) so I kind of feel obligated to do a catered party for DD#2, but since it'll be winter, I don't think it's gonna happen. We had her Christening party at a restaurant, so I may just do something small at the house even though our home is tiny. Money is also more of an issue this year, so it will probably have to be at our home and just family. Oh well! What can ya do? It'll be nice regarless.

We'll be doing a big Winter One-derland party at a restaurant or hall.

Constantine will be 1 on Jan 11. His party will be at our house on Jan 15th. We just had a big christening in July so this party will have like 35 people. The theme is winter one-derland also. I started planning a little bit, but I didnt buy anything yet.

DS bday is early Feb, near Valentin'es Day - thinking either winter theme and/or Valentine's thing. Not sure how big yet, DH has a big family, so its kind of a given no matter what. But at the house, casual, not out.

DD bday is in Feb 18th. I would love to do a winter theme but when I hear "wonderland" i think of xmas lol
So I love the idea of a cupcake theme!! Since i live in a small Apt, we're probably going to have it at a KofC or VFW type place. Very casual
