1 hour GTT.. I can go alone right?
DH is very nervous about letting me go alone but he has a dr. appt of his own at 915 and i wont be done till 830. He hasn't let me go to one baby dr. related thing alone yet. I assured him it was fine and i would call if i need help. Im actually very nervous about this test. How big is the glass of stuff we have to drink? Any tips on how to make this test easy. I was told to fast after midnight by my doctor and that was it. TIA

Honestly, I wouldn't go alone if you can help it. I ended up getting really light-headed and puked. Thank goodness I was done with the test/bloodwork so I didn't have to take it again. My IL's took me though since DH couldn't get out of work.

I plan on going alone. They gave me the bottle of the drink at my last appointment. I have to drink it at home an hour before my appointment. It's a 10oz bottle I have to drink. My appointment is at 8:30 which is when my Drs. office opens.

I went alone and was fine. It's 10 oz, it wasn't the best tasting thing but it wasn't the worse either.
I had orange.
The worse part for me was sitting there for an hour....Boring!!!
Everyone reacts differently, so if you think you should bring your DH just in case....then do so.

I didn't bring DH but I don't bring him anywhere I can do these things on my own
It tastes disgusting and is boring as all heck sitting there but that is about it. The fasting part is worst part!! That may make you feel weird.

for the 1 hour test its ok to go by yourself... you dont have to fast or anything and it is only a finger prick...

lol me too
DH went with me 2x to the dr. but his hours of work are crazy and i usually go myself
i did not need him there for the GTT
it was like orange soda; i watched a movie and then they took blood
that was it

You can go by yourself for the one hour.
Hope you don't need the 3 hr...but if you do I would bring someone just to keep you company.
