1 pound away from my goal !!!
Uggghhh its so frustrating.....the scale is not moving anymore !
I'm one pound away from my weight loss goal of 25lbs !! Since I'm so close to my goal I want to shoot for a 30 lb total weight loss....if possible, its gotten really tough now.
I think I need to add something to my workouts or change it up somehow ?!?!
I currently use my elliptical 20-40 minutes a night and walk 2-5 miles (additionally) whenever its nice out.
Someone told me I should try using weights too ?!?
Help !

Start building muscle & you'll loose more then a pound. Add weights to your work out. Do 3 sets of 10-12 reps..arm curls, flys, squats, ect...you need to amp up your work outs! Congratulations and keep it up!!

Sounds like you've hit a plateau and need to shake things up. Try the treadmill instead of the elliptical once or twice a week. Try walking on the beach or on hilly streets to get some incline work in. Try doing a kickboxing DVD or one of those free iO workouts on Cablevision. And definitely use weights! That burns a lot of calories too, plus, when your body is more muscular it burns more calories overall in a day, even when you're resting.
You're doing great so far - keep it up!

set the treadmill to manual and do a run walk - 2 minutes fast walk/1 minute run. repeat the pattern for 25ish minutes or so for a new workout.

Thanks for the ideas and encouragement ! I was bad this weekend so I need to lose 1-2 pounds now ! But I'm definitely going to start using weights & try some of the other suggestions !

wow! good for you!! try alternating workouts (if you haven't already) that and I find cardio with short bursts of high intensity followed by lower intensity works really well! good luck!
