He didn't cry at all and the lady at Quest (in Mneola) gave him a sticker that said "No tears today"
I was so scared but he did great!

Re: 1 year old & bloodwork...how did it go?
WE also did Quest in Mineola, which is right downstairs from our pediatrician. I had to do it twice, because the first time, the bloodwork came back with a high count for something.
The first time was a nightmare, I won't lie. The plebotomist could not get a vein in his arm, and although he didn't cry, it was torture to watch. They ended up finger pricking him and taking a vial of blood drop by drop
When we had to go back, the plebotomist was fantastic and drew his blood before I even knew he started. andrew got a lollipop at the end and he was a happy camper.
So it may all depend on the person drawing the blood.

Urine analysis??? We didn't have to do that with Caiden? He's almost 2.5 and has never had to do that? Maybe that's because we're in NC?

I didn't have urine test just blood. Went to Quest in Seaford. He was fine until they stuck him and he went nuts...I was holding him as tight as I could be he squrimed and she missed the vein so we had to repeat with other arm - it was pretty terrible but it went fast and when it was over he was fine.

We had to get a blood test for Lead for Joseph. Maddie is due for hers soon. I hated having to hold down his arm. He was really brave & it went pretty weell. They know what they're dong

Our pediatrician is doing a urine test now. The gave me a DIY bag that somehow attaches to the "private part" and after the urine is collected, I have to put it in a tube. Naturally, this is *my* job, not Steve's.
I'm not looking forward to the blood test. With DS #1 it was harder for me, so I'm hoping to have the same luck w/ #2 soon.

Re: 1 year old & bloodwork...how did it go?
Jesse had his one year check up and we didn't have to get bloodwork or a urine test. Could be because when he was 8 months he was in the ER with pneumonia and they did a lot of testing.
