1 year old boy - shoes
What type of shoes do you have for your toddler? My DS is 15 months old - so growing fast. what kind of shoes do I get him. I want to get something that is very versitale - can be worn with sweatpants and khakis. Or I would get him one good (stride rite) pair of sneakers, and a cheaper pair of shoes.

I bought him Stride Rite sneakers from the Outlet in Riverhead. They really go with anything.

Re: 1 year old boy - shoes
Shoes are SO important. I would get a nice sneaker from Stride Rite. I bought Jared two pairs from Stride Rite and he wound up wearing the sneakers all the time. I made the mistake of getting him a white sneaker. Never again...

I only do Stride Rites, I do well at the outlet in New Hyde Park.
I should say that for special occasions, like Christmas I'll buy a pair of shoes from Target or Payless. But they are only worn once or twice.

Ryan's first real pair of sneakers were Stride Rite. They may be more expensive, but they are good quality shoes. He wears them everyday and they hold up very well. He has white ones and next time I will buy a darker color since he is running around in the backyard getting them dirty all the time.

Re: 1 year old boy - shoes
Def 1 pair stride rites for most of the wear, personally I am not too fond of the sneaker styles this year.
I wound up getting my 18 month old a pair of nikes and dress shoes from BRU. In the house though she wears socks, barefoot or robeez.
Happy shopping!
