1 year olds and bedtime
Does anyone else's one year old start to cry when they realize it is bedtime? For the last week every night she freaks out when we bring her upstairs for bed. It has gotten to the point where she runs away from us when we go to pick her up...anyone else have this issue?

Re: 1 year olds and bedtime
my DD is 2 weeks from turning 1 and the last 2 nights she has been waking crying and more difficult to put down. Ever since the clock change she has been off for an hour, so I don't know if it's that or the starts of separation anxiety. Don't know it'll help but, I was just reading an article about it in baby center and it talks about it...nighttime separation

Re: 1 year olds and bedtime
my DD started this for a little while but then thankfully stopped. I think its the seperation anxiety too and the fact that now she knows she wont be able to stay out and play anymore.

Kaydyn did this too around 11 months. Any time we would bring her into her room and turn on her music she would start to cry knowing she was going to bed.
Every once in a while she will still do it, but the every night crying only lasted a few days...maybe a week.

Re: 1 year olds and bedtime
DS did t his for about a month or two when he was just a year. Now at 15 months we have a routine
We say bye bye to baby einstein (on while he plays after dinner/has his bottle)
Then we say night night and he repeats it. Then both DH and I get up and say its time for night night and we walk down th ehall to DSs room and he runs after us...and he heads right to the rocker to have his stories read.
He will occassionally cry when we turn out the lights but not usually.
