1 yr old bday party

me and my bf r going to 2 1 year old birthday parties..they are within 1 week of each other..we need to get the same thing for each child b/c they are all a group of friends and dont want to feel like we r playing favorties..we r thinking of just doing gift cards to toys r us...do u think 50$ each is too much? too little? should we do $30.00 gift cards?.. (it is from the both of us)....

can u suggest something better then just giftcards?

I think $50 from both is good, but what about getting them each the same toy?

eta: any thing that they can ride or walk with. Don't forget the gift receipt if you take this route!!

I am not sure what toy they would want or need..I always read that parents say they have too many toys so I wasnt sure if we should lean that way.. I love giving books as gifts but not sure if my boyfriend will feel comfy giving books..lol...not "manly" enuff for him lol

honestly I never have enough. I rotate them. Maybe buy a 2+ year old toy so that have that ready!!

Outdoor summer toys are great or do the lesser gift card with small toys (bubbles, personalized books, crayons and coloring books, how about a bubble mower? or a ride on toy? I'll post pics all not that expensive.)

Here are few of DD's fav's at that age

Sesame Street ride on

step 2 ride on buggy

Bubble mower
