10 months old food

what do or did you feed your ten month old? My son is now protesting any jarred food(stage 2 and 3) he loves watermelon, cheerios, bagels, anything that he can feed himself. he doesn't want me to feed him. Have any suggestions? what do your kids like to eat? what else can i make for him?
can he have honeydew melon?

Re: 10 months old food

I still have to feed my son. He won't feed himself yet.

Anyways...he doesn't protest the jarred foods but he does take a while to swallow it. It's as if he's bored with it almost who knows...Chat Icon

He does like it when I let him taste table food. I cut the food into a million pieces of course and he eats it.

As what he's actually eaten: he's had pastina, orzo, spaghetti (cut into a million pieces...LOL) with a little bit of sauce, the really small tube shaped pasta with a little bit of sauce, carrotts, boiled small potato, Gerber Puffs.

Re: 10 months old food

Ava is on all table foods now and has been for about a month and a half, if not more.
I just give her whatever we are eating. I do not give her anything fried or unhealthy, so I make all of her food.
She loves any kind of fruit or veggies, so that's easy.
She loves pasta with garlic and oil and broccoli, pasta with sauce, breaded and baked chicken breasts, french toast, scrambled eggs, turkey meatloaf, turkey meatballs, organic turkey sausage, chicken thighs baked in the oven, I made a great orange chicken baked in the oven that she loved, a WW recipe for chicken "fried" rice that she loved, oatmeal with applesauce and cinnamon in it, homemade blueberry muffins or pancakes or waffles, mashed bananas on toast...I could go on, if you want recipes or more ideas, let me know!

ETA: How could I forget, I also make her sweet potato fries baked in the oven with some cinnamon sprinkled on, plain sweet potatoes or regular white potatoes, zucchini in a marinara sauce over pasta, chicken soup that I make from scratch, pastina with applesauce and low sodium turkey breast on a pita. and hummus. She loves hummus.

Re: 10 months old food

Ava will be 10 months on the 12th. She'll eat anything I give her. I just have to be careful because she has a milk allergy. So as long as it's not a milk product or as long as it has no milk in it, she eats it.

does ava have teeth? abby doesn't have any yet, so i'm not sure she can handle the chicken or bagels yet.

Ava has two teeth on the bottom. That's it. Their gums are plenty powerful to chew all that food!

Re: 10 months old food

Nope, I just cut it up fairly small. You could shred it to make it easier at first, thoughChat Icon Good luck!
