11-Year-Old Cast as Cory and Topanga's Daughter on Girl Meets World
World, meet girl.
Rowan Blanchard, an 11-year-old actress, has been cast in the crucial central role – that of Cory and Topanga's daughter Riley Matthews – in Girl Meets World, the Disney Channel update of '90s show Boy Meets World.
The reboot – for which a pilot episode has been ordered – is told from the point of view of Riley, a 13-year-old.
Her parents, Cory and Topanga, who are now happily married, will be played by the original show's stars, Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel.
"As soon as Rowan walked into the room, I was reminded of why Ben Savage was loved as Cory Matthews," producer Michael Jacobs told Entertainment Weekly, which broke the news. "Rowan is real and accessible, and I am hopeful this girl is about to meet a world that will love growing up with her as well."
The pilot for Girl Meets World is expected to begin filming next month.

Any time I see a new Disney starlet, I get a little sad, because that cute little girl will be a crackhead ho by 18. The Mouse is a cruel master.

I can see it, she does look like them.
Off topic a bit... I remember watching that show & Cory & Topanga being the same age as me then... I definitely don't think they're old enough to have an 11 year old (esp since they got married after college)  Shouldn't the kid be a little younger??

I don't think so because they got married before the end of the series which ended 13 years ago.
