Pls. tell me your DCs age, when they nap, and for how long. I think Jack is transitioning right now - I just haven't gotten it quite figured out just yet.
He is 1 year - and the last couple of days he has napped for an hour and a half - goes down anywhere between 10am and 11am. He doesn't nap the rest of the day - but does get a bit crabby.
Am I missing out on an afternoon nap?

Re: 12 month olds (or around that age) - nap question
DD is the same age as Jack.
She takes a morning and afternoon nap. They are usually 1-1.5 hours each. If she takes a very long morning nap (meaning over 2 hours) (which happens maybe once a week) - she usually can skip the 2nd nap.
FYI - her 2nd nap usually involves some amount of crying - but I know she's tired so I have to let her CIO (usually no more than 5 min).

Re: 12 month olds (or around that age) - nap question
Noahs 13 months
He naps around 10 am till 11:30 am and then around 2:30-3:30.
It can vary...sometimes he will nap 10-12:30-12:45 and then NO afternoon nap , I dont allow it, as it would happen too late in the day.
This varies but usually not by more then a half hour or so.
We miss the afternoon nap about 1-2 days a week, but he does get tired at that time and he will usually fall asleep if even for a few minutes at that time.
but he has always been a really "long sleeper"..long stretches at a time for naps since he was born.
