12 Week Sono Tomorrow!!!
Im soooo excited but sooo nervous at the same time!! i can't wait until tomorrow at 1pm!!!!
What should I expect.. the first sono, my dr did it and she showed me the screen real quick and gave me one pic.. A little disappointed.
This time its being done by the tech. Im assuming it has to be longer since they are looing for specifics things.
I pray my little glow worm is healthy!!!

if it's part 1 of the sequential screen - mine was less than 5 minutes....and we didn't get to 'see' much.... they're just measuring a fold in the neck (I BELIEVE)....
i could be wrong - my memory is kinda 'spotty' at best....

They didn't mention that it was a part 1 of anything? The slip says, Integrated Quad Test

When we had our 12 week sono, the tech spent about 30 minutes looking at things and measuring. The baby wasn't cooperating, so maybe that's why it took so long...

You'll go back for bloodwork around 16 weeks - they put the results of these 2 things together.

every doc has a different name for the test - some call it sequential screen, some call it ultrascreen... i don't know about the quad test though...
judging by this website - it is the 'sequential' screen...this is part 1 of a 2 part test:

Mine was kind of long I can't exactly remember, but you get to see the profile, the heart beating. I had a full bladder, she then let me go to the bathroom and looked again and the baby was moving all over, we could see arms and legs kicking...it was amazing-such a difference from my 8w3d sono it actually looks like a baby now. I got 4 pictures this time(3 out of 4 were profile and upper body pictures). Then there is a blood test, urine, wt and bp.

12 weeks sono was the first time I saw the baby moving around! It was very exciting! Enjoy your appt today!!

Mine was long because the baby wasnt cooperating. It was alittle longer than an half hour. I had to walk up and down the hall to make him tired...lol
Then I had some bloodwork done. It is the first time I saw him moving so much and at one point it looked like he was waving. So adorable!
Everything will be fine tomorrow- enjoy seeing your little one.

i hope yours will be like mine, we where in there for like 20-30 minutes. The lady was showing us the head and arms and legs, let us listen to the heart beat several times. The lady that did our u/s was wonderful. I resquested her for my next one on June 18th.

Mine was kind of long since the baby was moving so much it was hard for the dr. to get all the measurments. It was so exciting to see the baby looking much more like a baby and moving

our guy cooperated too well and ours was done in no time... but we did end up with 5 pictures... 2 of the money shot that he as 99.9% sure a boy

The doctor was pretty sure ours was a boy at 12 weeks too...I just wanted to confirm at 20wk for myself b/f I or anyone else goes out and buys anything!
