1200 calories/raw/no carb type of diets
Aside from fruits, nuts, veggies, non fat dairy and lean meats, what do you eat? How do you stay full and not starve???
I have a difficult time staying full, I am eating tons of veggies and fruits, all day long, I figured anytime I feel hungry between meals just eat more veggies. Sometimes I notice that fiber does keep me full but othertimes not so much for long. Eating some protein too but I feel hungry all the time (my biggest downfall is snacking). I am allergic to EGGS and PEANUTS. I drink tons of water too.
My breakfast is always: 1/2 cup whole grain cereal with skim milk coffee with skim
Morning snack: cottage cheese or greek yogurt 10 almonds 1 cup of fruit
Lunch: Varies from Indian food (lentils, cooked veggies, brwn rice) to soup or chili to salad with a protein
Afternoon snack: More fruit cut up veggies with hummus string cheese
Dinner: Salad with protein again Last night it was spaghetti squash with meat sauce and a big salad
Dessert was a small scoop of sorbet and lots of berries
I was hungry an hour later!
I work out 3 or 4 times week for 30 to 40 min it's either circuit training or a brisk walk/jog

Re: 1200 calories/raw/no carb type of diets
I vegan and I don't eat carbs- like rice etc
I don't eat anything processed
I am rarely hungry -
when I used to eat oatmeal for breakfast I would starve all day
I eat fruit and 1 tablespoon of almond better for breakfast
then 100 calories of almonds
an apple- sometimes with organic peanutbutter (you could have almond butter)
Salad for lunch- no meat- just veggies carrots and gauc or hummus
then another apple
then veggies and a salad for dinner
a little almond butter for dessert
I am down almost 4lbs in a week and a half- after dieting since Feb and barely losing anything
I sleep better, I feel better over- I am rarely hungry, no cravings- and last week I was PMSing and no cravings- that's amazing

Wow, how are you not hungry? I woke up at 5:30 am starving!! LOL I am not trying to be vegan or anything extreme. I like food and I like to eat, I like the occasional burger and pasta. However, on a day to day basis to keep my clothes size (actually my pants got snug and I noticed I need to lose about 3-5 lbs) and for overall lifelong health I want to see what it's like to eat 1200 to 1500 calories, mainly plant-based and minimally processed.
BTW, what is wrong with plain oatmeal (natural whole oats)?? Eating it daily helped me reduce my cholesterol!

b/c I I eat whole foods- nothing processed- it makes a huge difference
I didn't say oatmeal was bad- but when I would eat from breakfast- I would be hungry in a hour- just like you
so it's just an observation
but when I look at what your eating- I don't see what you see- I don't see mainly plant based, raw, low carb and minimally processed
being a vegan might be extreme- but with my health issues and my family history it makes sense for me- I am not saying it's for everyone- but I am seeing results where I haven't before- so I was just making a suggestion

I see what you're saying. Maybe I should change the title. I wrote 1200 calories to lose just a few pounds. But I prefer to have these kind of recommendations from a clinical expert.
My focus is to eat: -no WHITE carbs -LESS processed whole wheat carbs like breads/pastas also (some days none) -eat the WHOLE grain itself instead -substantially increase raw veggies -no processed snacks
