140's Heartrate a little girl anyone?
I was almost certain until recently that it was a little girl i was having but i just had an appt 2 weeks ago and the heart rate ranged from 142-145 so now I am thrown off!!!
I dont find the gender out until next Thurs and I was wondering if anyone had a little girl with a 140 range heart rate..everyone i talk to keeps saying little boy! I cant wait either way but now i am really wondering based on HR if it is a boy!!!!!

Old wives tales, in my experience the HR has not indicated the gender.

DD #2 (the one cooking) as consistently had a HB within the 140s.

I don't think there is any truth in that. When I was pregnant with #1 the Dr kept saying that the baby had a fast hearbeat and that it was going to be a girl. I had a boy.

When I was pregnant with my DD she was always in the 140s never higher. I think it is an old wives tale.

My baby had a fast heart beat, 160 BPM, and he has a Penis! so much for the wivestale!

Just like everything, some people believe and some don't, and then of course, there are exceptions
I have heard of it being MUCH more common for girls to have faster
I have also heard of girls having slower (140 range)
That does not mean that the opposite is not true as well, just a matter of what is more or less common

I was told that our baby would be a boy from the HB...it was always 140-145...

Both of my boys heartrate was always in the 140's.

It doesn't mean anything, IMO. My DD's heartrate was almost always 140 +/-3 BPM and she had many BPP and NSTs. Her heartrate would be lower when she was resting (127-140) and higher when active (140-160).

from all of the posts and other things ive read, what i was trying to say is that you really dont hear of a boy having above 160
very often normally when it is over 160, it is NOT a boy
just like that Intelligender test - it said if it comes out girl, its a girl, and if it comes out boy, it could be a girl, but if it comes out girl, most likely wont be a boy

I was told high heart rate is girl and my appt's were always in the 160's. it turned out to be a BOY.
