~15 month old Clothes ?
I am getting worried about Andrew. I am taking him to the ped on Wed.
Is anyone's DC still in 9 month clothing?
He eats but not a huge amount and really only 2 meals a day. He doesn't look that skinny but his belly is getting larger and I am afraid he is getting malnourished or something like those babies you see on those fundraising shows.

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
I just posted about clothing
DD is 12 months...and I bought 12 month clothing, but it's too big, so she is really in 9 months. She goes to the ped next Monday. However...I'm not sure about Andrew, but DD started as a preemie, so she is growing well from where she started from.
I'm sure Andrew is fine as long as he is eating during his 2 meals. Does he eat between meals...snacks? bottles?

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
He drinks about 3-4 bottles a day of milk and 1 bottle of juice. And he does eat his snacks inbetween.
He was born a 6lbs 12oz. He lost a lot of weight in the beg though because I was not producing enough milk and eventually had to switch to formula.

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
Anthony was born at 8 lbs 3 oz, and went down to 7 lbs 6 oz because I wasn't producing enough either. We just had his 15 month well visit and he's a whopping 24 lbs, 14 1/2 oz now. I've gotten him down to morning and evening 8 oz bottle, with a 4 oz one in between. But he's eating EVERYTHING now. Today we're trying to eliminate that afternoon bottle, and slowly try to wean him off it completely. He's wearing 18 month clothes, though I can still get him into some 12 month things.
That said, every child is different, and I had the same feeling about Anthony and his stomach for a while. Even at almost 25 lbs, his stomach protrudes and makes me wonder if he's doing ok. I'm sure Andrew is fine

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
Matthew weighed 6lbs 12 1/2 ounces when he was born. He's always been on the skinny side. Then at 10 months he lost weight because of that stomach virus.
How much does Andrew weigh now? I have a skinny peanut. At 15 months he is 20lbs 2 ounces. Doctor did not say anything because at his 12 month checkup he was 18lbs 14 oz, so he gained and that's the main thing. As for the clothes. Matty is still fitting into some 6-9 months clothes. It all depends on how they are made. One pair of 12 months pants will fit him big and other pair fits him just right. Then there is this pair of shorts that are 6-9 months that are huge on him. I think it's the brand of clothes. My boy is all over the place in sizes. There are even some size 18 months that he'll fit into. I wouldn't worry about it sweetie until the doctor says anything.
Some clothes fit Matty fine in weight but since he is a little on the tall side the clothes look funny because of the height...It's crazy

Is he thriving? Does he have energy? Is he putting out wet & dirty diapers? Does he have bright eyes, shiny hair & healthy skin? What did your dr said at his last visit? I ask all these questions bc you've expressed these concerns before. Has your dr done anything to allay your concerns? If he/she has, then I wouldn't worry...some kids are just smaller than others.
FWIW, I see pictures of him often on here and he doesnt look malnourished to me. He looks like a happy, healthy child. I think he is far from those babies you see on those fundraising shows.

But he eats his solids and he snacks in between...

ITA. He looks happy and healthy, don;t worry about his size! My DD is wearing 2T now, but I wouldn't call her an amazon, she's just tall! Your DS is fine. Let us know what your pedi says.

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
Thanks everyone. The ped never seemed concerned. It's just me. Esp ever since Tumble Bees this weekend. He is in proportion so I guess I shouldn't worry so much.
I only say he looks like those children on TV because of his belly.

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
I was starting to feel the same way about DS - he is still in 12-18 months clothes while DD is in 24 months.
She is so much bigger than him now, he likes like such a peanut next to her.
They are going to be 2 next month - so I will bring them to the doctor then.

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
I've found it really depends on the brand - some 12m are big on Ella, some fits perfectly, and some things are small.
She does still have some 9m stuff that fits, but its not the large majority - the arms and legs get too short, though the waists fit better.
(she'll be 15months on the 25th)

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
Michael is 13 months old and is wearing 6 - 9 months clothes. I just brought him clothes for the fall/winter and 12 months was way to big so I got him 6 - 12 months, even some of that was still to big.

Re: ~15 month old Clothes ?
DD is 15 months and still wears her 6-12 month clothes. I can get away with 12mo tops but the pants fall right off. She also has a belly. She has been on the 10th percentile for ht and 3rd for wt for most of her life. She has her 15 mo check up on Wednesday and I'm very curios. I'm sure we have nothing to worry about - we just have peanuts for kids.

ITA...We just have little peanuts on our hands... I always see pictures of Andrew and in no way does he look malnourished. He looks like a happy and healthy little man to me...

Sooooooooooo True! And it's really annoying cuz it just makes you more confused on which sizes to get and what brand to buy from...

Ellie has also always been on the small side but she's been pretty much on target with the sizes (i.e. 12 mos at 12 mos old, etc.) the only real issue I have is length on pants b/c she's petite. Why is he only eating 2 meals per day and not 3? That would concern me.
