16 month old frustration level
My son is now 16 months old and I am extremely concerned with his temper/frustration levels. He gets so angry when things don't go EXACTLY the way he wants, he starts panting and biting things, and throwing himself on the floor. I know this sounds like a temper-tantrum....which it is BUT it happens all the time. He even gets frustrated with his toys. He gets so angry if they don't move right. I have ignored his behavior, tried timeouts, and nothing seems to be working. DOes this sound familiar to anyone?? I'm so worried that something may be wrong with him!!! Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Re: 16 month old frustration level
yup my 15 mo old is the same way...he gets so frustrated at me , my DH or if something is stuck or out of his reach! He will cry instantaneously or worse...bang his head (HARD) on the wall or the floor! My ped said dont bring too much attention to it bec then he will continue to do it bec he knows it gets my attention! But just move him from the situation if it seems like he is hurting himself otherwise ignore! When he is crying bec he can reach or work a toy...I just keep telling him "Help...say help mama" and then help him so maybe he will start to use that instead of crying when he develops the language skills!
Right now I think this is normal bec they are old enough to be aware but cant express their feelings verbally just yet!
