16.5 weeks old - using boob as a binkie!
Well it's been QUITE a long time since I've been on LIF! Hoping to see some of my old September 05 mommies again
I have a 4 month old daughter now - and she is EBF. She was sleeping well and going to sleep SOMEWHAT on her own up til last week. Now I'm having a problem getting her down for naps and at night when she wakes up she wants to use my boob as a binkie (and she has not ever and will not take a REAL binkie.) I take it away and she shakes and cries until I give it back. I could do it 100x and she still doesn't get the hint. I can't really let her CIO too much bc I don't want her waking my son. Any suggestions??

Does she take a binkie? Are you hesitant about giving her one?
If you want to give it to her, and she doesn't take it. Then, does she take bottles at all? If she wont take a binkie, try giving her a bottle of water, in the slowest nipple possible. Then switch it out with a binkie when she's asleep. This how I tricked DS to take it when he wouldn't.
Have you tried offering a lovey? a washcloth even? something soft to cuddle up to give her the security of a boob?
