18mm follicle on cd3, no meds
What the hell can cause this? They said my estrogen is high so it's most likely a follicle. How is this possible to have such a big follie on cd3? I ovulated from my LT side ast cycle and this new follie is on my Rt side. Maybe it started growing at the end of last cycle?

It's happened to me as well. With no meds.
No rhyme or reason. Just happens sometimes.
When you hear someone got pregnant from having sex once while having AF so they thought they were good and you wonder how that's even possible?... THAT'S HOW! A sneeky follie hanging out

The nurse just told me to start using opk's tomorrow to track my surge and BD anyway. I am going to take my progesterone suppositories to bump up my lining just in case lol

Re: 18mm follicle on cd3, no meds
2 possibilities:
(1) It's not a follicle, it's a functional cyst, which produces estrogen and will delay your ovulation until it resolves.
(2) You're an early recruiter. This is common in older women and sometimes with younger woman with premature DOR. Your system uses FSH to select your dominant follicle for the cycle during the luteal phase of the cycle before. This is why they downregulate (lupron, BCP, EPP) you before starting IVF--to prevent pre-selection of a dominant follicle so everything grows evenly. Sometimes the body does this earlier than normal, which is why high estrogen on day 3 is as much of an indicator of aging eggs as high FSH.
My guts says functional cyst.
