18mo olds.. What level is your crib mattress at?
Its odd. I have like six positions it can move. I don't know why.
I moved it down about two pegs (slots, whatever) when she started to sit up longer.
I have not moved it since. Right now her shoulders are level with the top of the crib when the side is pulled up.
So Im curious.
I know folks who've had theirs all the way to the bottom before 12m!

As soon as DS could sit up (or pull up, I can't remember), we moved it all the way to the bottom. Why waste time doing it again?

As soon as DS could sit up (or pull up, I can't remember), we moved it all the way to the bottom. Why waste time doing it again?
It only takes me about 10mins to do it so I never saw it that way LB.
I just don't yet see why I need to move it. Not to say that I should even, I was curious tho. I find it super easy to put her down since she's still high enough for me to reach in and lay her out.
What purpose do I have to move it all the way down to the bottom which would inconvenience me more day by day now to save me 10mins of click click later?
Am I missing something here?
She doesn't try to crawl out or even climb. Which is wonderful - we think. If she ever tried even once to put her leg up, that thing would be put all the way to the bottom. She just sit in there and cries if she wants out. We've never done COI and don't let her cry for more than a minute or so. I guess that's why she's never tried to climb out? She knows we'll come get her. She'll sit in there and play or just rest but never once tries to climb out.

Sean's crib only has 3 levels - when he could sit up and I saw he'd start pulling to stand, DH just moved it to as low as it went b/c it was a MAJOR PITA and he didn't want to have to do it twice

All the way to the bottom. My son climbed out and flipped over the top one day. We lowered to the bottom 20 minutes later.

My DS too. A few days after he learned how to pull himself up, over the top he went! He is a dare devil of a child though!

My DD climbed out of her crib at 10 months, it was at the 2nd level at that point...My DH walked into her room in the morning and she was on the floor playing with her toys. That day we moved it all the way down.

We moved it only once, all the way to the bottom. My DD would have been up and over a LONG time ago if I didn't. She can jump out now if she sets her mind to it - she did it once. She's never tried it again so maybe she wasn't too pleased with the landing...

All the way t the bottom at 6 months! DS is tall so when he started standing we dropped it down.

I think DD climbed out at that age, completely out of the blue. So we took the side down and converted to a toddler bed, with guard rail.

My convertibles only have I think a raised and a lowered setting nothing in between I don't believe. Once DDs starting sitting unassisted my ped suggested we lower the crib all the way in case b/c he has had kids pull to standing unexpectedly. DD started to pull up in her crib not long after she sat unassisted. DD#1 didn't pull to standing for a bit longer but I was glad I did it when we did.

We moved DS down to the very bottom around 6 months when he started to stand. He's way to tall. Plus he stands for me to pick him up and he's goes to sleep wide awake so it doesn't matter how I put him down.
