19 days left til the election and I still DONT know who I am voting for
I am not 100% crazy about either and at this point I feel like I need to choose the lesser of two evils.
In this election, I feel most will vote for who will help them most or benefit them economically over the next 4 years. Right now IMO things like abortion, alternative energy sources and really the Iraq war which were key elements in the beginning of all of this are now not as important to most as the economy and $$$.
Obama...I'm not sure he has the foreign policy experience necessary (although having Biden by his side is helpful) to deal with possible problems with Iran who I think is sliding under the radar right now giving our economic problems. I also think where the heck did this guy come from???? He went from being a community advocate to a Presidential candidate fairly quickly which to me means he may not have that much experience b/c he may have skipped a few steps. He also didn't vote on many senate issues throughout his career. His layed back, calm attitude can be looked at in two ways...1) good for keeping peace in foreign relations and promoting peaceful outcomes 2) too peaceful and not "strong" enough to make military type decisions. I do like that he seems to surround himself now with good advisors who he mentioned in his last debate, however, he has been linked to some shady characters in the past such as the reverand of his church. I think he may be the one who will be able to pick this country up economically over the next 4 years. Not crazy about his new tax changes. Not crazy about his health plan either. I feel alot of his programs are going to cost the tax payers $$$.
McCain...Excellent military experience and long time senate experience. Makes decisions without hesitation. Not happy with his ideas to end the mortgage crisis (buying back bad mortgages at taxpayers expense). Not crazy about his VP choice of Sarah Palin....if he dies in office this woman will be leading our country and she has NO experience compared to Obama. Doesnt want to get troops out of Iraq which I disagree with. May be a little of a hot head and like war enough that our country may end up in another bad sitation during his term w/Iran. Doesn't want to change the tax rates which I am for. Not sure his health plan is going to work either.

I would like to hear everyone else's thoughts on the candidates and maybe help me and others become more knowledgable about the candidates in helping them decide who to vote for.

If you're truly undecided, you should be visiting non-partisan web sites to do research on the candidates. There is so much misinformation on this board on both sides, I would verify everything you read.
