1st 5K
I am doing my first 5k on Saturday. Been doing the Couch to 5k. Only on week 7 (of 9), but I already paid and signed up so I am in for this Saturday!
Any suggestions for the week leading up or the day before? How about the morning of?
I have been running at night after work. Should I eat breakfast before? Something little?
I have no clue!!

Good luck on your first 5k!!
As far as the week leading up, you don't have to do anything different. Just don't overdo it with running. I would take off the day before at least.
Do you usually eat before you run? How far in advance? I would be careful with testing out something new before you run- you wont know how it will agree with you during the race. Since you usually run at night I'm assuming you have food in your stomach already when you run. I would always eat before I ran. I used to have a banana and a piece of whole wheat bread w/ pb.
Get there early, use the bathroom before the race starts and just have fun!!

Are you doing the Runner's Edge Women's 5k? I'm doing that one on Sat, it will also be my first 5k. It will technically be W8 d2 for me. I am doing W7D3 tomorrow and W8D1 on thursday, will take friday off.
When I run in the mornings, I usually have a banana and a glass of water. I don't do well with a lot in my stomach!

Thanks! Yes I am doing the Runner's Edge Race on Saturday! I ran tonight and I will run again Thursday (tomorrow I have no one to leave DD with after work and I can't push the jogging stroller and run!)
I'm so nervous!

Good luck!!!
As for eating/drinking, do what you are used to. If you usually eat 3 hours before you run, then you might have to wake up early to match that. You don't want to try something new on raceday and screw up your stomach.
