1ST B-DAY HELP...
I just do not kow what I should do for DD birthday. We have a big apartment 3 bedrooms, really roomie, but i did a list and just with family it is 30 people. I am so confused because I did not want to spend a fortune. do you think it is cheesey to have it at a park like eisenhower?

Not at all! Someone else on here did that for their dc's first birthday - maybe Stefanie?

Re: 1ST B-DAY HELP...
No...that would be adorable. You can tie balloons to chairs, streamers tree to tree, a pinata from a tree, coordinating tablecloths.
You can do a "ladybug picnic" theme with red and white checkered tablecloths and a ladybug pinata.
Depending when the bday is, they might have sprinklers on for the kids. If not...there's the swings also.
So cute!!

Re: 1ST B-DAY HELP...
It would be in may. I figure if I did it this way i could invite everyone and not have to worry about space and since it is a picnic party the food would not have to be So eleborate. Does anyone know how to go about having a perty there?

Eisenhower Park
In the Family/ Kids section, there is a # to call for picnic areas.

Same here. We are having it at a pizzeria/restaurant because of the time of year. I would love to do a BBQ!

Re: 1ST B-DAY HELP...
I fmed you!!
Not cheesy at all. I had Jared's 1st birthday/dh's 30th surprise b-day party there in June. I got there early (7am) to reserve tables and set up. The party wasn't until 2ish but you have to get there early if you want tables. If you don't want to do that, you can pay Eisenhower park money for pre-reserved spots (which come with electricity). I think it costs about $100. I used that money for food and got my own tables. If you're planning on having alcohol, you have to get a permit (which you can get there). I think it's about $15.
Here are a few pics!! Image Attachment(s):

I don't know, I supposed the same thing if we were to have it in a yard we can get a tent.
