1st b-day party gift - need help!
My cousin is throwing her little boy a first b-day party tomorrow.
My parents and I are going along with my brother. Dh has to work.
I went to Baby Gap and got a puffy coat, zip up sweatshirt, one long sleeved shirt and a pair of jeans. About $120 worth.
I told mom and dad to write a $50 check and DH and I and my bro would give the clothes.
Is that enough? too much?
I'm trying to be generous without going over the top.
She's catering it. There will be about 20 adults and 9 kids.

Very generous and thoughtful gifts! Sounds like a great gift (on the very generous side, but not crazy, esp. if you're close with them!) from you, DH & your brother, and $50 from your parents is perfect too!

All little ones are special but she went through so much to have him he's that much more special in my eyes.
I'm just her cousin but we grew up together like sisters.
I have a habit of spending too much and going overboard so I needed a reality check.
I almost bought a stuffed animal too but put it back at the card store!

It is very generous...but just a suggestion - bring a gift receipt. DS got a lot of 18 month and 24 month clothes and he is barely fitting into 12 month clothes :)

My one year old DS got a regift from my cousin (his godfather) so your gift sounds much much better
