1st bday party date opinion?
DD's bday is may 2nd. Will it be too cold to do an outside party that weekend?? we are too many for inside.
OR
is it weird to wait until the 1st weekend in june for the warmer weather?

We held DD's first B-day party a month late because of DH's work schedule. I didn't see anything weird about it.

Im sure your guests will be much happier the month later b/c of the weather being nicer. I dont see anything wrong with when you have your dcs birthday party.

I know people who always have June/july parties for a March B-Day. Until she was school age then they did it at a place. I think it's fine.

My nephews birthday is at the beginning of March and they had the party in April one year because they wanted it at White Post Farms and at the time they were only doing parties certain times during the year. What my SIL did was she had immediate family over for pizza, cake and coffee the night of his birthday and then she had the big party for him a month later with all of his friends. I don't see anything wrong with doing it a month later.

The first two weeks of May are always hit or miss. My kids b-day are May 6th and 9th, and some years, we had gorgeous weather, warm enough for outside with a light sweater, and some years, cold and rainy and 50-degrees!!
When I got married on May 11th in 2002, we had a gorgeous 72 degree day and had our cocktail hour outside.
That said, if you can wait, I would and wouldn't feel weird about it at all!
