1st bday party locations
Hi, Can anyone recommend a restaurant, country club, catering hall, etc to host a first birthday party? I'm looking for a private space or a restaurant that will close for a private event.

nassau or suffolk. I have family and friends across the island, so it doesn't matter.

How about an American Legion or Knights of Columbus? Do you want them to provide the food or do you want to bring it in?

We just had my ds first bday party at the knights of Columbus in Mineola and I would highly recommend it- big room with a large open dance floor, perfect for the kids to run around! Food was good too

A lot of restaurants can accommodate for a private event, but most won't close the whole restaurant. They will allow you to occupy an entire room that may be closed off from other diners for privacy. If that's ok with you I have seen that happen at the following restaurants:
Insignia steak house (Smithtown)
Pasta Pasta (Port Jefferson)
Fifth Season (Port Jefferson)
Mirabelles (Stony Brook)
Lombardis on the sound (Port Jefferson)
Country House (Stony Brook)
Babylon Carriage House (Babylon)
Shiki in Smithtown shuts down for private events but not sure if that's what you had in mind for a first birthday...
You might be better looking into a catering hall that does only one event at a time. Like The Oldfield Club in Setauket. No sponsor needed there.
