1st birthday/Baptism in one day
I would like to plan one party and combine DD's first bday with DS's baptism.
When I send out invites do I do 2 separate in 1 envelope or combine them into one invite?
We are going to do a Dora theme, is it wrong not to have that much baptismal stuff?
any suggestions for throwing 2 occasionas at once would be great!

My sister did the exact same thing for my nephew. Her invites mentioned both celebrations. She had a cross centerpeice and everything else was Mets theme.

I am going to a 1st b-day/Baptism combined party for a friend's son in two weeks. She sent one invite mentioning both.

that was the one thing I was worried about. I didn't know if people would rather attend 2 different functions or one jointly. DD's birthday is August 21 and due to a few family trips we were planning on having her party Sept 2, which makes DS around 2 months or so.

I would rather attend one party but I would make it more of a plain invite. I would think it was strange to get a Dora/Christening invite.
You could do Dora plates, etc at the party.

The only thing I would consider is if your family is very religious, they may not like that you are making it a birthday party also. Just a thought. But, in the end, I always tell myself "Who cares what other people think!"...so I guess I'm not help!

Interesting point..however both families are very UNreligious. A party is a party to them lol.

My sister did not send out a Sports Invite for her double celebration for my nephew. She brought just plain invitations.

Re: 1st birthday/Baptism in one day
my friend just had a 1st bday and her other sons 1st communion at one party. She sent out separate invites. I would do separate invites also. I would have a cake for each kid celebrating the specific function. I would probably do balloon centerpieces and alternate each table either in a dora or religious theme. JMO of what I might do
