1st day of school....a happy story
Today I had to go back to work (teaching), which meant I had to leave my little Lily after our summer together. I was a little sad not being able to spend the day with her, but really, what choice did I have?
My amazing little girl must have known, because she has been SO lovey with me since I picked her up. She ran to me when I walked in to pick her up at my parent's house....jumping up and down saying "Mommy!" and laughing. Then we got home and she wouldn't let me put her down and sat in my lap for about a half hour....which she NEVER does. Now, she's relaxing on the floor with my foot on her head (she's strange).
She is just amazing.
Funny story as an aside....we pass by a strip club in Smithtown on the way home (nice, right?) and today, she pointed at the stripper on the neon sign and declared "Mommy!" Yeah, she thinks I'm a stripper!!

Aw! It must have been so hard for you but it sounds like she did awesome.
about the stripper. When my DS #1 was smaller, he thought a pic of the Virgin Mary in my SIL's house was me so I guess we're opposites.
