1st pregnancies RE: Due Date
What are the chances of actually giving birth on your actual date?
Does that ever happen, or are you almost always after the date?
I'm due the night of the 1st seder - would love some idea if I could go to my stepsister's seder with a clear head knowing my water wont break!

Re: 1st pregnancies RE: Due Date
Honestly you really have no idea. You just have to keep living life until it happens. You could go 2 weeks early or 2 weeks late but you can't sit around waiting for it to happen, you'll make yourself crazy. Plan to go unless the baby has other plans for you.

Re: 1st pregnancies RE: Due Date
just like the previous post said - you never know! i was veyr low but went into labor 3 days late - i did however only have 4 hrs of labor before she came out and a great easy and only slightly painful delivery and recovery! (so in the long run it was so worth the wait!)

Re: 1st pregnancies RE: Due Date
we went in 2 days beforehand with my progression stuck where it had been for the last 4 weeks. We opted to induce the day after our due date.

You never know what could happen, like others said just live life til baby says otherwise.
I made no progress, i was just about a fingertip dilated when i went into labor, had DD 39w4d's.

Re: 1st pregnancies RE: Due Date
Depends. A friend of mine gave birth 1 mo early with her 1st and 2nd. Another friend gave birth 1 day after due date. And another friend gave birth 2 days after due date.

Liza, when they ask "Why is this night different from all other nights?" you would have one heck of a great answer.
(BTW, DH proposed to me at a seder and now we can't really top it)
