1st sono tomorrow....
It's not at my doctor's office- my dr's appt isn't until next week. Will the tech tell me if there is something wrong?
Also- we should see a heartbeat, right? I should be 7w3d.

yes they should.. but if they don't.. u can alwys call ur doc later that day or hte next and ask..
if my doc isn't in the office when i go, the tech and nurses still see me and tell me everything is fine and then the doc calls me the next day to let me know specifics..he's really good about that.

I dont think a tech would or could tell you if something is wrong. They are not diagnosticians. Then again, all of my sonograms are done by doctors and not by techs so they HAVE to tell me.

Congrats thats so exciting. I have my first sono too i will be 8wks6days. yes we wil see a heartbeat and if they do an internal you will hear it too. I hope we both have great experiences tomorrow. keep us posted

I saw/heard the heat beat for the first time at my first sono (8 weeks).
The tech didn't say anything regarding the sono. Just told me to "listen" and "that's the baby's heartbeat".
My midwife gave me all good details when I saw her.
Some techs will be nice and give you info and others really don't want to be held responsible.
If you get a tech that doesn't want to tell you anything just call your doc office the next day for the results.

Congratulations and good luck!
You will most likely see the HB but the tech probably wouldn't say anything but at this point, you should be able to tell if something is wrong (no yolk sac, no baby, etc).

You should be able to see a heartbeat, but probably not hear it. My first sono was at 8 weeks and we saw the flickering of the heartbeat!

my first sono was at 6W.. we saw a flicker of a heartbeat.. so you should def hear one!!
