1st sonogram today
So, just got back from my first sonogram, it was so great!!! I was so nervous the whole day, worried that something would be wrong (obviously i'm a worry wort) but everything looked great according to the dr. I am 7 weeks tomorrow, we got to see the heartbeat and hear it! How amazing!! I can't believe it. So i need some opinions- we still haven't told our parents. I'm torn between telling them this weekend- or waiting till christmas??? I think it would be a cute christmas present for them- but i also have a lot of get togethers between now and christmas- and i know people will suspect somethings up if i'm not drinking!! I'd rather tell them- than have them guess for themselves. Any opinions?? thanks....

if possible I would wait til Christmas and give them cute sono frames with the pic in them.
there could be amillion reasons your not drinking....and you can even try and fake it!!

I'd prob have a hard time holding out!! What about thelling them you have an early X-Mas present for them and still framing the sono pic and wrapping it up!? Or wrapping up a "I Love Grandma bib/onesie" and giving it as an early present?
If your mom is anything like my mom, she'll likely guess b4 X-Mas anyways.

hold out til christmas.......
i used the excuse- designated driver for dh, medication cant mix it....
our parents knew right away, but we waited to tell dh grandparents til we cleared the 12 week..... we frames a poem i found online this one is similar(she loved it,and told others):
I do not have a face to see,
Or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss,
I don't yet have a name.
You can't yet hold my tiny hands,
Nor whisper in my ear.
It's still too soon to sing a song,
Or cuddle me so near.
But all will change come ________,
That's when the say I'm due.
I'm your new grandson or granddaughter,
I can't wait till I meet you.
All I ask between now and then,
Is your patience while I grow.
I promise I'll be worth the wait,
Because of all the love we'll know.
So what I have to give you now,
is a wish to you from me.
I cannot wait to be a part
Of this wonderful family.

WOW...that brought tears to my eyes!!! 
To the other poster, I would definitely try to wait it out until the holidays. Until then, I'd do all of my "drinking" under cover. Ask for diet coke in a cup with one of those little red straws...they'll think there's Jack in there
