It doesn't hurt at all. The Gel up a big wand and stick it in there...VERY un movie like! LOL Not one i ask my hubby to join in to see! It will be nice once I move on to normal sonos!

You may see a heartbeat.
I had mine at 6 weeks and though the kid was a blurb it was a beating blurb

Yes, it's internal.
They put a condom on a wand and some jelly and well... yeah...
It doesn't hurt at all. Liker another poster said you may be able to see the heartbeat or it may just be a few days too early. It looks like a tiny little light flicking on and off at that point.

At my first sonogram I was 7 weeks and had an external sono and we were able to hear the heartbeat (I don't actually remember if we could "see" it, but it was there!).

I was miscalculated my date as well. So, for my 1st sonogram we saw a gestational sac implanted - that was @ 5 weeks 3 days
( not the 6weeks & change they thought)
My second sono was done 2 weeks later and we had a baby and heartbeat--
You may be able to see a heartbeatfor yours but I am not sure.
As others have said, it was internal and Taweezah described it rather well
