Re: 1st Thanksgiving
I don't go crazy with appetizers because everyone gets too full for dinner. So, i usually just make an antipasta and chips and dip, or i cut up assorted cheeses and crackers and some olives. I used to get the hot appetizers from Costco but i find its just a waste. I would go with one more side like a broccoli and cheese cassarole which i happen to love LOL Is FIL making the stuffing too, because i would def have that if he isn't. I can give you recipes if you want. I dont make a sweet potato cassarole i make candied sweet potatoe which is brown sugar and sweet potatoes and butter and marshmallows. YUM! Good luck! I know the first time can seem so overwhelming but it will be fine

Re: 1st Thanksgiving
don't forget the gravy!!
Now all you have to do is think about how you are going to cook your turkey and don't forget to give yourself plety of time to defrost it.
The goat cheese salad sounds yummy!!

Re: 1st Thanksgiving
definitely stuffing and gravy..
and as a pp said, i would go easy on the appetizers, you don't want everyone to fill up before the main event.
Maybe just some cheese, crackers and sliced pepperoni?
