1st trimester constipation...

is killing me...it was so bad today, i have an ice pack on my butt
I know part of it is the hyporthyroidism they just told me i had, i just started the medication but this is crazy, i have never had constipation like this before. It's like giving birth every 2 days (sorry tmi)

I was the same exact way!!! Every rare trip I took to the bathroom was a mini battle!! I started taking colace three times a day, in addition to the stool softener in my pre-natal. Also... Hydration was KEY. In fact, I had an unexpected breakthrough yesterday when I had to drown myself with 30 ounces of water before 7am for an early morning fasting bloodtest and... Holy crap. No pun intended... (sorry tmi). I had to do 90 mph home to get to the bathroom and I went more than I did in the past 3 months!!!!! So, my advice... Drink a ton of water early and maybe it will get your system working. Good luck and feel better!
