Can he be teething already? He is blowing bubbles alot, trying to chew on his hands and putting his bib in his mouth and drooling a lot at times. But isnt he too early to teethe?

It could be teething but it seems early to me. He could be just exploring his hands or could be cox sackie.

Has he been around any kids with cox sackie?

Tiny blisters on his hands or feet?

Fever?

Both my children teethed early. DD cut her first tooth at 3 months and DS cut his first tooth at 4 months. So its possible.

2 1/2 months is when they discover their salivary glands- they are fully developed now, that is most likely it.

it is not too early to teeth..my dd has been doing this since 2 months old...she is definitely teething but it may take a while for her tooth to break through...my mom said my sister and I both had our first teeth by 3 - 3/12 months Chat Icon

my DD has been doing this from 2 months too, spoke to dr. and I am a dental hygienist- not teething, she is almost 6 months and no teeth. I thought too maybe but dr.s all said highly unlikely. I looked it up in my wilkins book ( blessedmommy you'd get a kick out of this) and although some babies brake teeth at 3 months, its not the average. But hey maybe for you it is, keep us posted. and keep a bib on your DC and aveeno close by for their chin.
