Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting on this board. DH and I were married this past Winter, and we went on a 4 day (really 2 vaca days, 2 travel days) minimoon to San Juan, with our intention of going on a proper 2 week honeymoon to Greece this August.

Now, everything has hit the fan over there, and we decided to postpone our HM until August 2011, a full year and 8 months after our wedding. I still have the time off this year, though I might just take a week now instead of 2, because I don't want 2 weeks off just to sit home bored and not doing anything.

We're looking to do a series of mini-trips, just to feel like we're doing something. Can you please recommend places within the continental US (preferably east coast) that have decent weather patterns for the first two weeks of August? We might do a few nights in Newport or someplace like that, but we're concerned that we might get stuck in the rain somewhere.
