2 door car?
i posted a while ago about this but once again DH is trying to get me to get a new car on the one hand i would love one but i rather save the $ for one i really want and more important things there is nothing wrong with my car other than its a 2 door. My question is does anyone have a two door? is it really hard? i saw someone on the road the other day with the same car as me and she had twins! if she could do it i think i can handle it. Opinons please

I think you can handle it. But it would definately be easier with a 4 door. It's all a matter of what's important to you.

my DH actually has a 4 door so i tried putting the car seat in both just to see if the 4 door is so much easier and to me its easier in the 2 door..since the car seat would be to one side. With the 4 door i have to basically climb in to put the seat in the middle

I think if you are comfy with the two door, than keep it. If it get to be too much with all the baby stuff and what not, you can always go out afterward and get a new car.

I agree. While I would never buy a 2 door with kids if I already had it I would try to make it work for as long as possible.

Re: 2 door car?
When I had my DD I had a 2 door for the 1st few months It was do-able but def. a pain in the butt. I was forever banging the carrier into the door jam, the car, the front seat. The poor kid probably was like "what the hell are you doing to me" I had enough of it and got a 4 door by the time she was 6 months old. So just see how it goes.

Re: 2 door car?
I just traded in my 2 door baby for a 4 door I loved that car...
I don't think I could ever have an infant with that car, it would just be another thing to hassle with. ANd the trunk was a little small too.
plus, the safest place for an infant seat IS the middle of the backseat.
Not to say it would be dangerous, you need to do what's best for you.

Re: 2 door car?
We have a 2 door, but it won't be the main mode of transportation, so my opinion is irrelevant. PLus it's a mini, so the inconvenience factor is probably greater than your 2 door.

Re: 2 door car?
I would think it would be much more difficult having a 2-door car. People do it and make it work, but having the convenience of a 4-door is much better IMO.
