2 door car?
i posted a while ago about this but once again DH is trying to get me to get a new car on the one hand i would love one but i rather save the $ for one i really want and more important things there is nothing wrong with my car other than its a 2 door. My question is does anyone have a two door? is it really hard? i saw someone on the road the other day with the same car as me and she had twins! if she could do it i think i can handle it. Opinons please

Re: 2 door car?
DH has a 2 door car (a mustang GT). When DD was facing backwards, he would have to climb in the back to put her in the seat...now that she is facing forward, he can put her in with no problems. I can't drive his car (because it's a stick shift), so I have never tried to put her in there

Re: 2 door car?
I don't have 2 door cars anymore for awhile, but when I did babysit fulltime for 3 kids i did. 2 of them were in a carseat. It wasnt hard, just more annoying. You have to climb in to the backseat to put them into the carseat, even with an infant seat. And those poor babies, getting them out of the car sometimes i accidently bunked their head lightly on the roof since you have to get yourself out, balance yourself, watch the baby and where you are going at one time.
IT's tricky but doable, but I have to say, try it first, then get a four door. Personally, that was my last 2 door car, I absolutely love 4 doors better.
Good luck!

Re: 2 door car?
Our car is 4 door, but my pickup is 2 door. I never had the infant seat in the truck, but I have two forward facing seats. Once they are forward facing, it's fairly easy, but still not as easy as a 4 door. You still have to bend around the car to strap them in. When buying a car, I would definitely get a 4 door, but I wouldn't rush out and get a 4 door just because it's easier. That's a pretty expensive convenience....

Re: 2 door car?
I have a 2 door truck & I have to say it is a royal PITA. Getting the rear facing seat up and into the truck is becoming a 2 person job at this stage (DS is 5 mos).
I would think that if it were a car, it would not be such an issue b/c the "lifting" bit is what makes it so hard.
