Yeah, there was an article in today's Newsday.
The 16 year old was driving an ATV illegally and without a helmet.
The driver of the car in Islip hit a power line and a tree, or a tree and a retaining wall and later died at the hospital.
So sad!

Aww Thank You everyone. I did a "spinoff post"..I feel so bad I kind of hijacked this one.
He was a 4th cousin, I didnt really know him, but, my family is very close with his grandfather (my cousin who I was raised to call uncle).

This is why I get so upset with Vinny when he tells me about how from the age of like 12 on he was allowed to ride ATV's with his friends, sometimes alone, etc and they rode "crazy" all the time and it gets me so FURIOUS and sad at the same time... He tells me it's no big deal but I'm never letting our kids ride on them- I think they are so dangerous. Needless to say I just emailed this link to Vinny so he can see what happens when you ride ATV's sometimes 
It's so sad
