My DH and I saw 2 terrific movies this weekend

Pursuit of Happyness
and
The Good Sheppard

Both were excellent movies.

Pursuit of Happyness was a feel good movie

the Good Sheppard was a very intense, long (almost 3 hours) movie but the more I think about it the more it blows my mind.

Hope you go and see them!! Chat Icon

Thanks! I really want to see POH, but I don't wanna cry! Was it a real tear-jerker? Chat Icon

I'm debating seeing the Good Shepherd. Good to know. Pursuit doesn't seem like my kind of movie.

Re: 2 movie recommendations

I saw Good Shepard and didnt like it. I was so confused. There were too many "time" jumps back and forth and too many characters.

Hmmm, Lisa must be insensitive. Chat Icon I'm a big crier, so if she cried for a minute and you cried for over an hour, I can assume that *I'll* cry from the opening credits. I may have to rent that one. Chat Icon

POH is about a man that is down on his luck, takes a job as an intern (without any pay) to make a better life for him and his son.

The Good Sheppard is about the beginning of the CIA

LMAO!! Well, if Harry cried, then it's definitely a tear-jerker!! Chat Icon The only way to get Steve to cry at a movie is by telling him they're sold out of popcorn!

My DH (dork of a husband) kept laughing at me that I was crying so much. I kept telling him you don't know how lucky we are imagine if this was the life that we faced--blah blah blah then I remembered that I am PMSing so that might have something to do with it Chat Icon But as a Mommy I can't imagine watching that movie and not thinking about that.

Definitely watch it!
