Sounds about right....DISNEY We also priced one out for 4/5 days ONLY going to canada and it was also like 5000. Sick!!! I guess you can justify that it is like bringing disney to you and you dont have to pay 100 dollar tickets for parks/airfare.

Crazy. I booked it, but just cancelled because I can't justify the cost. If it was 3 FULL days, then yes. But the fact that the ship comes back into port at like 8am on Sunday was a deal breaker for me.

That was why I couldn't do a one night cruise to no where - it was a lot of money for a 16 hour cruise. I could probably stay over night in the city and have a fabulous dinner for less than $600.

Re: 2 night Disney cruise to nowhere from NYC is $1700+???
While I love disney and love cruises and would like to take one someday - I can't justify spending what would it would cost 60-70% of the cost of a full weeks cruise on Celebrity or RCCL. While we will probably try their ships some day - their prices don't seem to be in line with the mass market lines (RCCL, Celebrity, Princess, NCL etc). They seem to be closer to the next step up. Forget that for not much more you could get a week at disney at a value or mod with tickets and airfare.

It depends on your sail dates and room category. If you can sail in September, the New England Cruise starts at $735 per adult, which is not bad AT ALL. I wish I could do it, but I can't travel in Sept.
The prices are a lot higher when school is out.
I've been looking at the cruise fares and some of them, like the above, are really good. We just got the new specials in. There's a super cheap cruise on the Fantasy out of FL as well.
Disney's ships are consistently rated #1. They have a lot of features other cruises don't have, such as more space, immersive experiences for all ages, characters, and not to mention the ships. I LOVE the virtual portholes on the Dream and the Fantasy, the amazing color changing dining rooms, etc etc.
I've never been on a cruise but when I do I definitely will go with Disney.
Then again, I'm going to Hawaii for the first time and staying at a Disney resort, so I'm just special that way :D

$735PP for a family of 4 is horrendous. With port charges etc it would be about 4k. Ive gone on RCCL, Carnival and Norwegian for ALOT less then 4k. Maybe we hit 2k....maybe a little more but def not 4k.

You're paying so much because it's Disney. I would love to take the Disney Cruise one day but for what it would cost I would actually rather just go to Disney.
DH and I did a TEN DAY cruise out of NY on the Princess line and we paid about $1100/each after taxes and fees. You cannot beat that!!! (and the cruise the WONDERFUL!!!)

Yep. I researched a Disney Cruise out of NY for the end of August and it was $6,500 for a small room for 4. That is not even going to Disney-lol.

We stayed 3 nights at Disney with a promo for 4 days/3 nights with park hopper at monorail resort for $300 more than that. FOR THE DISNEYWOLD park. Not a character on a cruiseline. INCLUDING airlines for 3 people.
